the Polenastics teamPolenastics is very proud of it's dedicated pole fitness and dance team. We are all complete pole addicts and LOVE to teach. Qualified, insured and carry PPL licenses, Hollie, Alex, Pippa, Lara, Carla, Michelle and Louise are qualified first aiders too. We strive to be the best we can be at pole and as instructors to understand the issues faced by students, the insecurities, the concerns and the complications of learning pole spins, moves, tricks, transitions and routines. We have all learnt pole fitness as Polenastics students - Mimi, our founder has been teaching since 2003 and all instructors strive to achieve the ethos Mimi promotes. We have all been concerned about walking into that first pole class, are we too heavy? Too old? Too unfit? Too uncoordinated? Are we going to look the odd one out? Are all the other students going to be super fit Barbie dolls in string bikinis? Will we be expected to take any clothes off, be overly sexy or make a fool of ourselves? We have all been intrigued by the mystique of the pole fitness class and nervous as HELL going to the first one. It's ok, we know how you feel :D Pole fitness really is the next big fitness thing, its gonna be bigger than hula hooping, ceroc, free running and street dance. We put £100 on it as we know, as instructors, we can't get enough and neither can our students. Come and see what all the fuss is about..... |

Never fit, never sporty, never flexible or into exercise. Pippa popped along to her first pole dance class with a friend, just for fun. That was back in 2006 and Pippa has never looked back. After falling in love with the sport, pushing and training hard while struggling with the skill and strength required to pole Pippa loved learning how to pole. Pippa began teaching pole fitness in 2008 alongside her instructor Emily. She competed in the 2009 Pole Divas competition, was an official judge for World Pole Dance 2010 in Zurich, was Tricks Syntax Co-ordinator for the World Pole Dance Championship in Budapest 2011. Pippa also judged at Pole Artistes Championships 2011 - The competition hosted by Jess Leanne Norris who at just 18 years old is the 2011 Pole Dance Champion. Pippa was head judge at the NPAPC Championships in Notthingham, was joint head judge, with Cat Denning, for NSPDS 2010 and was a judge for the 2010 Pole Divas Championships. Already signed up to judge competitions in 2012 Pippa is in awe of all the incredible performances she has been honoured to watch. Pippa teaches private lessons, hosts pole parties and runs classes at the Newport Pagnell studio, see here for classes and how to book. Pippa is also happy to run work shops for other schools and groups of polers. Follow @Pipsical

about us and testimonialsPole dancing for fitness is here to stay and we are very happy polers indeed! We have been teaching pole fitness and dance since 2003 and are basking in all the new interest in this gymnastic and dance related sport that we love. We know from experience, how daunting it can be coming to your first pole lesson and we want you to feel at home and confident from the very second you walk through the door. Each Polenastics pole fitness and dance class is generally 1 hour long, and includes a warm up and cool down, pole moves, tricks & floor work. You will also have the chance to learn and perfect pole dance routines, posture and walking exercises. See the gallery for some after class pole videos that show some of the moves and transitions you can expect to learn. As a beginner, after an initial introductory chat with your Polenastics pole fitness and dance instructor, (where she will need to know of any injuries or illnesses, your ability, concerns and expectations), you will be put on a pole with either 1 or 2 other polers of similar ability. You will be shown some basic pole dance moves and linking sequences which you will practice with your pole buddies. If you are more advanced and have pole experience previously, please let us know when you book in and we can ensure that you are put on a pole with students around the same level. what to expect and wearIt is best to wear a long sleeved t-shirt or and tracksuit bottoms or shorts, this is a fitness class and you should be comfortable and able to move without restriction. You are more than welcome to have bare feet or wear heels. Heels will elongate your legs and make the moves look more elegant. Dancing in heels will also improve tone and definition of your legs, heels will also be useful for the walking exercises. If you do wear heels, please ensure they are not easy to slip on or off your feet and do not have buckles or studs on them. Please note that there is no nudity, lap dancing or stripping at Polenastics classes. Please do not wear any rings, bracelets or watches as they hinder your grip on the pole and can hurt your hands and damage the poles too. Also please do not moisturise before class, we recommend you leave 3-5 hours between moisturising and a pole dancing class as you will leave residue on the poles and not only will your ability be impaired, but so will the ability of the other students on your pole. If you have any concerns or more questions please feel free to get in touch, and we can send some more information if required. You will be provided with more information at your class and will be expected to complete a consent form for health and safety purposes. Polenastics at the True Blood Convention![]() On the 7th August 2010 and again on 6th August 2011 the Polenastics team were asked to perform at the Saturday evening party for the True Blood - Bitten convention. Both events were amazing and the Polenastics team had a brilliant time. We are incredibly proud to have received such a glowing testimonial from the organisers: " Polenastics were a fantastic way to add atmosphere to our party. Totally professional, efficient & flexible (in more ways than one!). They adjusted to our needs completely, even down to the outfits & timings. They are total athletes when it comes to the moves they pull out on the poles, absolutely incredible and had the audience completely amazed. I will certainly be using them again & again."
